Established in 1905, Saskatchewan is one of the three Prairie Provinces along with Alberta and Manitoba. Saskatchewan is known for its agriculture and livestock production, and is considered a major breadbasket of Canada. \u00a0The province is home to notable universities such as the University of Regina and the University of Saskatchewan, located in the capital and the largest city, Saskatoon, respectively. \u00a0Saskatchewan also boasts several famous attractions, including the provincial legislature in Regina, the man-made Wascana Lake, Regina Beach, historic barns scattered throughout the province&#8217;s farms, and the hot springs in Moose Jaw.<\/p>\n<p>The major cities in Saskatchewan include Regina, the capital city and second largest city in the province with a population of nearly 236,500 (according to the 2016 Canadian Census), and Saskatoon, the largest city in Saskatchewan.
