Program Overview:

Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker-Employment Offer Program is designed for applicants who have already found a job in Saskatchewan and whose employer is willing to support their nomination for provincial nomination under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). Once the applicant secures a job offer in Saskatchewan, the employer can submit a job offer application to SINP, and the applicant can apply for provincial nomination directly with the Saskatchewan Immigration Office. Once the provincial nomination is approved, the applicant can apply for immigration and work permit from IRCC.  This is a direct, efficient and high success rate program.

Applicant Requirements:

  • At least one year of relevant work experience in the past 10 years
  • If the occupation requires a license, the applicant must obtain the relevant license from the issuing authority
  • The job offer from the employer must be a 0, A, or B level occupation on the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) list
  • Language proficiency of CLB 4 (IELTS scores: Listening 4.5 / Speaking 4.0 / Reading 3.5 / Writing 4.0) • Permanent full-time job offer approved by SINP from a Canadian employer

 

Employer Requirements:

  • The company must be established for at least one year and have an office in Saskatchewan, with approval to recruit foreign workers from SINP
  • At least four weeks of recruitment advertising must be completed
  • The employer must register with SINP as a Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) qualified employer and apply for job approval letter.

 

Application Process and Processing Time:

  • Applicants need to go through an employer interview to obtain a job offer
  • The employer submits a Job Approval Letter (JAL) application to SINP. Once approved, the JAL will include the worker’s name and NOC code for the job position. (1-2 months)
  • The applicant submits provincial nomination application to SINP
  • SINP approves the application (1-3 months)
  • The applicant submits a work permit application to IRCC (processing time: 3-6 months)
  • The applicant applies for permanent residence (PR) to IRCC
  • Once the work permit is approved, the applicant can enter Canada to start working
  • PR application is subject to IRCC processing time (approximately 1-2 years)
