Program Introduction:
The Manitoba Entrepreneur Pathway allows the Manitoba government to recruit qualified business talent from around the world, encouraging them to start new businesses, purchase existing ones, or become partners in existing businesses in Manitoba. This increases employment opportunities and promotes economic development in the province, while providing the opportunity for these individuals to obtain permanent residency in Canada.
Applicant Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in business management in the past 5 years.
- Must have a minimum net worth of CAD 500,000.
- Conduct a business exploration visit to Manitoba (which can increase the chances of success).
- Must apply for a work permit recognized by the Manitoba government.
- Invest at least CAD 250,000 (at least CAD 150,000 for remote regions) to establish a business and create at least one job.
- Language proficiency at CLB 5 (equivalent to IELTS band 5).
- Completion of at least a high school education.
- Age: No restrictions, but the ideal age range is 25-49.

Application Process:
- Self-assessment and business exploration visit.
- Submit Expression of Interest (EOI).
- Receive invitation to apply (LAA) from Manitoba, and submit a provincial nomination application.
- After obtaining recognition from the Manitoba government, apply for a work permit.
- Invest in and establish a qualified business, and receive provincial nomination.
- Apply for immigration through the federal government, and obtain permanent residency upon approval.
